Because motherhood was never meant to be done alone.That village they talk about? Yeah, it's up to us to create it. This is a place for moms who want support without the noise, connection without the pressure, and a mom-led community that actually feels good. Your social life, cheerleading squad, and support crew for the first year of motherhood, sorted.
Here, motherhood isn’t something to perfect. The reality is, none of us know what we’re doing. It’s a cliche, but it feels hard, because it IS hard. But isn’t it better doing it together? Whether you’re a soon-to-be mama, newly postpartum or in the depths of toddler tantrums, The MotherFlock is here to remind you that you belong, messy bun and all. We gather, talk, walk… and make it all up as we go along.

You’ll be placed in a whatsapp group of local moms who live in your neighbourhood, with a local mom “host” who’s passionate about helping moms build community, who will organize a monthly get-together. Local friends, guaranteed.

Your Questions, Answered-
Most will be in their first year of motherhood. Our moms are warm, open, supportive, seeking connection, and non-judgemental. If that’s not you, then this might not be the right space.
They’re experiencing the same things you are… the sleepless nights, the joy, the rage, the dreams, the challenges… just maybe not all at the same time. It’s a rollercoaster, but it’s better doing it together.

Building & running this community takes a lot of time and effort, and we want to make it sustainable so we can continue to support moms. This means that our moms are committed, and are all here for the same reasons.
But big picture, having some mom friends and a place you can go for support, especially in one of the more isolating & challenging seasons of life, is invaluable. Our hope is that you’ll come away with at least one (but likely more!) meaningful connection.
In Vancouver, we offer one “Flock & Walk” a month, that’s open for anyone to attend. Suburban walks, Future MotherFlockers, & Dad’s Meet Up are also free for anyone not within The Flock to attend.
If you are lower income, a solo mom, or indigenous, there is no cost to joining The Flock. Please complete this form for instructions on how to register. Discounts are also available for past group members, those back at work, or returning to work within the next 4 months (Full MotherFlockers Only). Perfect. Most people don’t when they join. That’s kind of the point.
Introverts need community too (& I know, because I am one). Our events are super-chill, no-pressure get-together’s. Yes coming for the first time is always nerve-wracking, but we’ve all been there, and there will be a friendly face to make you feel welcome.

Yes, our Full Membership is, with a mix of local in-person gatherings and connection through our whatsapp community, it means that you can stay connected even when life is… a lot.
