No Kids, Hot Coffee, and Surrounded By Nature? This is Mom Camp

It is well-known that we’re all tired. Overwhelmed. Sick of not having a minute to ourselves to… Just. Decompress. We “miss” our old lives sometimes, and the freedom that brings, but also wouldn’t change things for the world. Yet somewhere in the chaos, a tiny voice in your head whispers, “Hey, remember me?” That voice? It’s you. And she’s ready for a damn good weekend away.

The good news? I recently came across an escape that’s exactly what the doctor ordered. Say what?! That’s right… a whole 48 hours of no snack requests, no tantrums, and no dishes? And it get’s better... hot coffee, cold plunges, space and time to just BREATHE FOR A SECOND… and all while surrounded by nature…

Enter Mom Camp - a magical, no-pressure, all-about-you retreat happening October 17–19, 2025, in Squamish, BC. Picture this: a cozy cabin in the forest, zero to-do lists, nutritious meals you didn’t have to cook, and a pajama dance party that’ll shake your soul awake.

Hosted on a dreamy 165-hectare ecological reserve nestled between Vancouver and Whistler, the camp setting alone is enough to make your nervous system exhale. Towering trees, mountain views, the sound of a river somewhere nearby - it’s like nature hits “Ctrl+Alt+Delete” on your burnout. You sleep in heated cabins with other awesome women (no tent pitching needed), and for a glorious 48 hours, nobody calls you “Mom.”

But Mom Camp isn’t just about escaping the daily grind (although, let’s not pretend that isn’t half the appeal). It’s about reconnecting to the person behind the parenting. Over the weekend, you’ll dive into workshops on topics like mindset, stress, and resilience - with science-backed strategies that feel more empowering than preachy. One of this year’s guest speakers is Catherine Roscoe Barr, a neuroscience-based wellness coach and author of Feel Better Now. There’s also movement (yoga, stretching, dance), outdoor fun (hikes, saunas, maybe even a cold plunge if you're feeling spicy), and good ol’ fashioned rest. Like… actual rest. Not hiding in your bathroom for five minutes with a granola bar.

And then there’s the community. Moms from all walks of life, all stages of motherhood, showing up real, raw, and ready to be seen. You laugh until you cry. You cry until you laugh. You realize you're not the only one who's tired, who sometimes feels lost, who deeply wants to remember what it feels like to just be - without managing everyone else’s feelings.

This isn’t a weekend of fixing yourself. It’s a weekend of finding yourself. Or maybe just remembering that she never really left -you just needed the space to hear her again.

So if your inner voice has been on mute lately, if your cup’s running on fumes, or if you just want to spend a weekend with other incredible women sharing stories and sipping coffee while overlooking the mountains - Mom Camp’s calling.

The only thing you need to bring? You.

(Okay, and maybe your comfiest flannel pyjamas. But mostly you.)
